For the last several years, Stronghold Homes have chosen to partner with ECF to furnish their homes with high-quality kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom furniture. Our core brands, Gaddesby, Volpi, Volante, and most recently, our new made-to-measure range, Robe, have all become staples in Stronghold's designs. Founded in 2015, Stronghold Homes is a housing development company driven by a passion to create homes that stand out from the typical new build. At the heart of the company is Creative Director and Designer Alice, who collaborates closely with her husband and Director, Karl. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Karl brings a wealth of expertise to crafting homes that are functional, while Alice uses her background in interior design to create stunningly beautiful spaces.
“As a couple, we have both always wanted to design and build homes. Karl left school to become a carpenter in 2001 and Alice always having had a passion for interiors, later retrained as an interior designer in 2014. Stronghold Homes began in 2015 with a desire to build homes suitable for a range of families; creating effective home layouts and beautiful spaces for families to return home to.”

“It is definitely a team effort. Alice collates ideas and creates designs whilst Karl and our joinery team assists with the practicality of building and bringing these designs to life. We’re always looking outside of the box to create homes that are special with an above average finish for our home buyers. Their latest project, The Kilns, is located in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, and offers nine brand-new detached homes, featuring a mix of new build and custom build plots.
We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Kilns show home to view the space in the flesh and were blown away by the attention to detail, thoughtful planning and innovative design showcased throughout.
